Sadly, the event was cut short by an unplanned fire alarm. The emergency evacuation was slow, to say the least, and it was interesting to see which items people believed to be worth saving. Glasses of wine featured prominently!

Saturday tours included the National Memorial Arboretum and the Staffordshire
Regiment Museum

At the end of the train tour at the National Memorial Arboretum members were photographed at the commemorative plaque of the NACTSEW AGM weekend held in Lichfield in 2008

Highly entertaining and informative Lesley Smith graciously performed her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth I. Not only is she an extremely talented actress and performer, Lesley Smith is a medical historian holding an MPhil in Tudor medicine, a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, and also a Member of the Society of Medical Writers. Everyone was spellbound by her talent and the authenticity and detail of her attire.
