Saturday Afternoon

After lunch there is a choice of excursions for the afternoon.  The Sheriff of Berwick 2021-22, Canon Alan Hughes has offered a short overview of Berwick's rich history which may be useful for people planning their visit.  To read it follow the link below.

1.  A bus trip to the Chain Bridge Honey Farm and a chance to walk across the Chain Bridge into Scotland

2.  A boat trip on the River Tweed

3.  An escorted guide of the Town's Elizabethan Walls

Or, you can peruse the town at your leisure, taking in a few of the 'sights'.   Here are a few pictures to help (thanks to Canon Alan Hughes).

The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is also recommended as a place to visit.  Access is dependent on tides and sadly these are not in our favour for the Saturday afternoon.  Members staying longer may like to try and

arrange a visit in their own time.
